Sims 4, Animal Crossing, a dash of Rimworld, and a bit of Stray are what it takes to create this new management game that puts you in charge of a colony of adorable but naturally temperamental kitties.
Catizens, developed by the Bad Optics Games team, offers you to build a city based on the characteristics and traits of your feline population. “Just like in real life,” explains Bad Optics, “cats require personal attention and special treatment. Combinations of different personality traits and moods affect their dominance and obedience. Cats bond with each other and will occasionally make personal requests, so you’ll need to learn what makes each cat happy in order to stay by their side.”
Have you heard of the expression “having cats”? Well, apparently Katizens wants you to do it for real, and not just physically, but emotionally too.
In addition to designing the appearance and personality types of your cats, in the style of The Sims, you must build a city for them that suits many different professions (similar to Animal Crossing), as well as explore the wild environment to fight monsters. and discover resources, such as Rimworld. And you can probably guess where the Stray comparison is coming from. Just like Stray, Catizens is now available on Steam.
