It’s been almost a year since Spongebob Squarepants The Cosmic Shake was announced and after a long period of silence, August 12, 2022 is a day to remember! We got our first look at Spongebob Squarepants The Cosmic Shake gameplay, which focuses on platforming in the various Wishworlds Spongebob and the crew will explore.
Combining multiple levels it seems, the gameplay trailer shows off a number of different ways to navigate the game’s worlds. having eaten a siesta, while on the other floor, you return to prehistory and slip into mudslides.
We also have smaller previews of transition options like the Spongebob, pizza box as a glider, and jump mats.
The combat also looks slick, much like Purple Lamp Studios’ remake of Spongebob Squarepants Battle For Bikini Bottom Rehydrated. The dodging and attacking bosses are gorgeous and the crisp visuals really stand out.
If you didn’t understand the story of The Cosmic Shake, Mermaid’s Tears fell into the hands of SpongeBob and Patrick and ultimately shattered the very fabric of reality. This opens portals to various wish worlds filled with knights, cowboys, humans and prehistoric creatures, and more. Objective? Rescue your friends and return to Bikini Bottom.
It looks like the game still has a long way to go before release, but the game looks great and hopefully improves with the original Battle For Bikini Bottom from two decades ago. .
With Spongebob Squarepants The Cosmic Shake scheduled to launch on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch, we have quite a bit of time until its release date, so you’ll need to be patient before heading back to Bikini Bottom.
