Medieval sandbox Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord one of those games the creators are clearly in no hurry to leave early access on Steam and other clients available on PC. The game from the Turkish studio TaleWorld Entertainment has been available in early access for more than two years, while version 1.0 seems to be just around the corner.

Whether this state of affairs is beneficial, perhaps, can only be judged by those who have carefully read the long lists of changes that have accompanied every update since March 2020. But one thing is for sure – TaleWorlds is still working on Bannerlord. However, despite this fact, it is still far from clear how Mount & Blade 2 will behave on consoles. The developers have repeatedly stated that they do not want to remain only on the PCbut so far they have not been very cooperative in this regard. What will change with this year’s Gamescom.

TaleWorlds Studio on social networks announcedwhat will present the console version of the second part of Mount & Blade at the exhibition in Cologne, which will be held from August 23 to 28, 2022.. Bannerlord is coming to both Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, and Gamescom attendees will be able to play the game on both consoles right at the developer booth. They also intend to provide fans with additional information, which we hope will include release details.
Of course, we don’t know anything about him yet. it’s unclear if users of previous generation consoles will also see iti.e. PS4 and Xbox One. However, the fact that the console Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord will be playable at Gamescom suggests that the release of upcoming ports may not be far off. In any case, the rather hypothetical and nebulous Bannerlord for consoles is now becoming a reality.
In conclusion, we remind you that Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord will not be the first release of the Mount & Blade series on consoles.. In 2016, the iconic version was released for PS4 and Xbox One. Mount and Blade: Squad, which has existed on PC since 2010. So hopefully this time the original PC port and the console won’t be separated for such a long time. After all, it’s almost harvest season.
