Fortnite vehicles are suddenly falling victim to recently uninstalled crash pads, as Epic Battle Royale players reap the devastating benefits of highly unstable, bouncy new blocks.
Players, vehicles, and even some projectiles hitting the crash pad will launch into the sky, but the pads also remove fall damage. That means you can jump on them with reckless recoil, for our money the best kind of recoil, and if you get enough crash pads in one spot, get downright stratospheric height and speed.
TheBestFiras posted a video on Reddit showing them placing twelve Crash Pads before stacking the car. Despite how the physics are supposed to work, what happens is that the car shoots through the air at 472 miles per hour and doesn’t slow down as it gets closer to the edge of the map. The car then crashes into the water with such force that the camera goes berserk and confused, and in an understandable state of panic simply switches to first-person mode.
BXTwo2 did something similar with the trio. The three of them get on a bus and travel through a few sites before being dumped on an island an incredible distance. While we’re not 100% sure if it’s reliable enough to make it a competitive strategy, it’s certainly fun and we’d love to see it in the meta.
In other Fortnite news, the voting system that Epic used for The Block actually has a pretty big flaw that could undermine democracy itself. That doesn’t stop Fortnite from appearing alongside many other great shooters on our list of the best battle royale games. But if you like something less than running and gunning, you might want to try some of the best multiplayer games.
