Tactics Ogre is an isometric turn-based RPG and strategy game set in Valeria, a kingdom torn apart by ethnic conflicts. The story follows members of the downtrodden Valister people who join the resistance to overthrow their oppressors, the aristocratic Bakram and most of the Galghastans.

The decisions you make and the outcome of battles create branching stories, so the narrative and ending will very much depend on how you play. Here is the announcement trailer:

There isn’t much information to share on the official site yet, but there are some screenshots showing the new look and effects of the spell, as well as a place to sign up for email updates.

The trailer sparked fan speculation about the gameplay changes that come with this version of the classic game. Some of the changes made to the original for the PSP version released in 2010 have apparently been undone, such as the removal of the class alignment system and the TP ladder.

Although it took a while for Square Enix to fix the issues with Final Fantasy VI Pixel Remaster, the series has been a welcome update on classic games making them available again on modern hardware, even if some graphical fixes no longer work. I have always been loved.
