The campaign to complete the Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened remake was launched last night on Kickstarter and the required $71,658 was raised very quickly. At the time of writing, players have deposited over $90,000.
“Usually we financed our next game ourselves through the sales of our previous games and planned development accordingly. But this war constantly presents us with new challenges, each time requiring us to stop, regroup and adapt. It takes time, effort and in many cases money that has been allocated to finance production. games. So we decided to launch a crowdfunding campaign.” Explains Frogwares, which employs over 90 people.
On the occasion of crowdfunding, the first trailer was published and information from a week ago was repeated. Awakened will complete remake, which is based on a Lovecraftian-inspired mystery tale intertwined with the story arc of a young Sherlock Holmes taking on his first big case after settling in London. He will be assisted by his new partner John Watson.
