“Simply put, our plan is to continue on our path as a prolific developer capable of releasing multiple video games a year,” says Pete Samuels, CEO of The Dark Pictures Anthology. “We’re over 300 today, but we plan to be over 400 in the next 12 months and we already know what our launches will be. for the next five or six years. We have a solid strategy.”

As announced by the executive at GamesIndustry, Supermassive will then announce their debut for 2023 and details of The Dark Pictures Anthology, which will bid farewell to its first season with The Devil In Me in November.

“Horror lends itself very well to what we want to do. We focus on creating great stories with great characters, where decisions and outcomes are such an important part. […] Can we make it work in other genres? Yes, but without neglecting to focus on the dark side. And yes, you can do that without resorting to terror, and we’ve had regular conversations about it,” says Samuels, making it clear that they won’t give up on the studio’s DNA.
