According to a series of reports posted on Twitter by Fable’s Principal Game Designer Hervé Gengler, the team lots of employees for various roles. We talk about Senior Script Writer, Senior Technical Designer, Senior Audio Programmer, Game Animator, Producer, Game Designer, Chief AI Engineer, Senior UI Engineer, Senior Game Animator, Senior AI Engineer, and more.
Given the amount of senior roles the team requires, it seems like Fable still needs a lot of work and the exit isn’t imminent. In recent months, rumors have circulated that the game itself has been interrupted. In reality, the rumors were just “scoping,” or the phase of work where it was decided which parts of the project would be kept and which would be eliminated.
Scoping is the norm in video games, allowing you to create a focused product without the risk of generating unnecessary content that will inevitably be deleted. So, all these rumors made us realize that Fable is not in an advanced stage of development. Now, these multiple job offers seem to confirm that.
Hopefully next year the team has something to show as the fans look forward to this match.
