Fear not, Eivor lovers, as the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Forgotten Saga DLC release date is approaching. You won’t have much time to wait for the free roguelite-inspired DLC to appear alongside Assassin’s Creed Valhalla update 1.6.0, the new content arriving August 2 – but when exactly can you get started? and start perfecting your run in the depths. From Niflheim?
Well, if you look at previous major content updates and patches, they are usually released around the same time of day and this latest update will be no different. Ubisoft has confirmed Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Forgotten Saga DLC release date August 2 at 5pm PT / 8am ET / 1pm BST. It will be released as part of 1.6.
Ubisoft also announced the file size across all platforms for the update. Xbox Series X gamers | s need 26gb free space, xbox one need 19.6gb, ps5 update is 12.5gb, ps4 is 17.5gb and lastly update PC players is 23.7 This will be GB.
The new Forgotten Saga DLC is completely free for all Assassin’s Creed Valhalla players, and the mod should bring a bit more life to the already heavily supported game compared to previous Assassin’s Creed games.
In the DLC, players descend into Niflheim (it’s the Viking equivalent of Hell) and improve their character build by traversing a series of irreversible dungeons, fighting in true roguelite style. Permadeath will also return you to the start whenever you are defeated in battle. Defeat will cost you pretty much all of your gear, though Ubisoft says there will be a few aspects to your build after each death to make your next run more manageable.
For Assassin’s Creed fans looking closer into the future, it might be interesting to learn that there’s been plenty of recent evidence for a remake of the original Assassin’s Creed.
