The dinosaurs in the game weren’t supposed to be monsters, but simply original, thinking inhabitants of the planet.. The creators wanted the target audience to want to know, not kill, the prehistoric lizards that were brought back to life by the human intervention described in the original film. Thus, dinosaurs were supposed to be allies, and people who sought to exterminate them were enemies..
The basic idea seemed to be that by saving prehistoric lizards, we would save ourselves.
