It’s been 9 years since the release of the game Papers, Please from indie developer Lucas Pope, who really became famous thanks to it. Five years later, he also had another hit, Return of the Obra Dinn. But now he has returned to his first title, which takes place in a totalitarian state, where the main character is a customs officer who checks the correctness of documents and decides whether to let a person go further or not.
Papers, Please came out in 2013 on PC and Mac, later on Linux, iPad and even PS Vita. Pope is now announcing that more ports will be released for all mobile devices. The popular indie game will be available to Android and iOS players very soon on August 5th. He reportedly worked on the conversion for 8 months to get everything working properly. In any case, there were no changes in the content.
If you own one of the consoles and thought this could happen to you, then don’t get too excited. Pope pokes fun at this in a follow-up tweet, saying that console ports will be released in 2031.
It is expected to be released on consoles in 2031.
