Valorant Masters Copenhagen Weapon Stats Show VCT Vandal Dominance

The final of the Valorant Champions Tour Masters Copenhagen has finally arrived. Heading into the final weekend of the international high-end VCT game, rib.gg esports director Charlie Pickles took to Reddit to share the pick ratings for each weapon so far, and there are a few surprises in store.

By the numbers, what was once a close match between the Phantom and the Vandal for AR supremacy in 2021 is no longer the case as the Vandal is by far the most popular weapon on the map with a share of 39.51% – this trend continues. We also saw this in VCT 2022 Phase 1. During this time, the Phantom only took 19.04% of the time.

As user ‘mateusb12’ pointed out, this is likely due to a combination of factors. First, Vandal’s consistency can’t be underestimated, taking only four body shots to kill at all ranges. Also, with no Astras and Vipers at the moment, there’s less need to smoke and spam walls with a Phantom. Indeed, based on the current meta, Phantom seems like the more situational choice (no one likes a Phantom moment anymore).

The next thing to watch is Marshall’s downfall, which coincided with Jett’s decline in popularity. The eco-friendly sniper sitting with a pick rate of 0.3%, exactly 1% less than what we saw in Reykjavik, is almost intact. The other agent you usually find in Marshall players doesn’t need it, as Chamber has access to what is essentially a gun-shaped guard.

Finally, with Vandal at the top of the chart, Ares bottoms out with an almost invisible pick of 0.03%. The frustrating LMG hasn’t been seen in a while and only appeared once in the tournament when FunPlus Phoenix lost to Guild Esports. Andrey ‘Shao’ Kiprsky returns. FPX lost the round dramatically.

If you’re still working on your Vandal Keys, you definitely need to arm yourself with one of Valorant’s best visors for the job.
