Red Dead Redemption 2 mods are the blood of Rockstar’s abused sandbox western. As the studio looks to GTA 6 and players mourn the death of new content updates, modders continue to look for ways to make Red Dead original, and now the entire game has been completely overhauled with the addition of a teleportation system. directly from Valve. classic puzzle game portal.
Simply called Portals, this mod by kostas96b allows you to place two portals anywhere on the Red Dead Redemption 2 map and instantly travel between them. Let’s say you’re at Horseshoe Overlook and plan to go fishing north of Strawberry. The ride can be nice and scenic, but once you have your supplies, you’ll want to get home as quickly as possible to add them to the camp tithe box. So you set up a portal in Horseshoe, do your thing in the desert, then open another portal and you’re instantly back.
You might have some issues with textures and assets spawning – the game naturally doesn’t expect you to move to new locations, but other than that it’s incredibly smooth. Look the following video.
You can tag your portals to remember where they lead to and save them permanently in the game files, so if you want to disable them and install new ones, you can easily reload them later. All you have to do is hold down the CTRL and T keys and you can set up your portals wherever you want. It’s so simple, or should we say Red Dead simple? No, actually, we shouldn’t.
Portals aren’t the only mod that ensures Red Dead Redemption 2 stays alive (cowboy hat if you get the joke). You can also overhaul the game environment, change the entire law system, or add dynamic seasons.
