You will be able to change your character class every week when the next Diablo Immortal update is released on July 20. The new class change mechanic allows you to freely switch to a new class in RPG once every seven days, and there’s a new set of legendary items to hunt.
In the latest blog post, Blizzard explains that the class swapping mechanic in Diablo Immortal will become available once your character reaches level 35. Class Swapping. You can switch classes once a week, and “there are currently no plans to allow players to purchase the ability to switch classes more frequently.” However, you will have a unique opportunity to go back to the previous lesson if you think you made a mistake.
When you upgrade to a new class for the first time, Blizzard says you’ll receive a set of replacement gear that’s roughly the same rank as the gear you equipped for your old class. Your old gear and cosmetics for your class will not carry over to your new class, but will remain available in your inventory when you decide to return to that class.
Any social groups, clans, or squads you belong to will carry over to the new class, and most of your game progress will carry over as well.
The update also adds a new endgame called Hero’s Journey, which will be unlocked in the Frozen Tundra section of the main quest. Hero’s Journey will start with four chapters, and Blizzard says there are two more planned in the future. You will have to perform difficult tasks whose complexity depends on the level of your ideal.
The update also changes the weekly Unit Raids so you can purchase a permanent Legendary Crest for 1600 Platinum when you complete them. There are also 36 new Legendary items that Blizzard says are meant to give players more options for damage over time effects.
