Isometric RPGs have shown many times in the past that they don’t belong in the old hardware yet. However, there was another branch of the field of role-playing games that has all but disappeared over the years. We are talking about titles that send players to gloomy dungeons (Dungeon Crawl), where, at the head of a squad of heroes, they fight monsters and try to find hidden treasures. There were several attempts, but in most cases no big miracles happened. The upcoming project could be crucial for this direction RPG Dungeons of the Amber Griffin from the Polish studio Frozengem Studio. At first glance, this is a work intended for veterans of the game.
Once again, we have a group of player-selected champions roaming the world, slaying monsters and going through evolutions that prepare them for stronger foes. Personally, I was impressed by both the traditional gameplay and the variety of opponents that you will have to face along the way. The development of Dungeons of the Amber Griffin is supported by the Polish government, but the creators plan to seek help from the community through a Kickstarter campaign.which should start in the coming days.
