As Dusk Falls is a prime example of the narrative adventure genre. The fantastic cast of characters is used to great effect throughout the story, and it has a lot of twists and turns. The sheer breadth of choices and consequences means there’s room for multiple playthroughs, and even when transitioning between multiple characters, the story stays cohesive, which rarely happens in games. Add to that an amazing art style and soundtrack, and we have not only one of the best examples of the genre, but also one of the best games of this year.
