Almost nine years old consoles are no longer keeping up with them, and developers are gradually abandoning the old generation in order to promote their games. The same goes for the 2019 sequel to the popular stealth adventure A Plague Tale: Innocence, which will only be released on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch (via the cloud).

creative Plague Tale: Requiem Asobo studios praise this decision because they don’t have to think about the limitations of legacy hardware, which has advantages both in terms of story and gameplay.

“In Innocence, some parts may look like scenery due to technical limitations.” said head of development Kevin Choto in an interview with Edge magazine. “With Requiem, we could push the horizon much further. When writing to us [vyšší kvalita] it allows us to think of sequences that weren’t possible before, like chases with hundreds of thousands of rats, or places that dynamically evolve based on history and events.”

All this and much more we can expect on October 18 this year. The game includes Czech subtitles and will be available on Game Pass on the same day.
