Also during Solstice, Bungie says that the armor leveling experience will be a little different. Solstice Armor can be upgraded with new special event currency, including Silver Leaf, Silver Ash, and Kindling. You get Silver Leaf and Kindling by completing event quests, and Silver Ash is crafted from Silver Leaf when you complete the new Campfire Burn quest.
Silver Ash can be spent to modify armor stats in the Mods screen, and Kindling is used to increase the potential of armor stats. Each piece of armor can be upgraded this way three times, but you only need to upgrade once per armor slot – all Solstice armor in that slot will benefit from the spent ignition.
Like last year, fully upgrading a Solstice armor piece with firewood will cause it to glow, and there are free and paid versions of the glow.
