Blizzard stopped development of the game heroes of the storm, but it’s not a big change for regular players. This MOBA hasn’t had a regular influx of new content for a long time. But now it’s official: the name Heroes of the Storm is being transferred to the so-called service statusas well as StarCraft and StarCraft 2. This means that servers will stay online and the game will continue. But there will be no more major updates. They may be replaced by future updates to improve stability and fix bugs. And when necessary, content balance changes can occur.
Unfortunately this means the end of hopes for the revival of Heroes of the Storm. At Blizzard, he is currently working on other projects, including Overwatch 2 and Diablo 4.
As a token of gratitude, all Heroes of the Storm players will receive an incredibly rare epic-quality mount next week, the Arcane Lizard. At the same time, the creators thank you for your support.
In the summer of 2015, a free version of Heroes of the Storm for PC and Mac was released at the height of the multiplayer arena boom. Unfortunately, however, this project, which was inspired by the community modification Defense of the Ancients it wasn’t as good for Warcraft 3 as it was for Dota 2 and League of Legends. They are still among the most popular, although Blizzard has included famous heroes and battlegrounds from Warcraft, Diablo, StarCraft and Overwatch.
