Developers from Rockstar games announced that there will be no more major updates to their Wild West multiplayer game. In their blog, they wrote that the reason is the switching of resources to the preparation of the upcoming sequel to the GTA series.
Red Dead Online will continue to be supported, the developers will highlight various activities in the calendar, such as story co-op missions, seasonal events, and improvements will also not go anywhere. But the authors want to develop the existing modes and add the so-called Telegram Missionson the contrary, they are going to abandon thematic content in the form in which it was added to the game in recent years.
The developers also thank the players for their support, dedication and feedback: “Direct feedback from players is critical to the continued success of both GTA Online and Red Dead Online and is an integral part of what helps us continue to grow and improve as well as leads us forward.”
Players are not happy with the limited support for Red Dead Online, and some even want to practically “bury” the game on July 13th.
