God of War reimagined the series in 2018 and brought it into the modern era with performances from the characters and the voice actors who voiced them. With the sequel bringing the series’ Scandinavian period to a close, many of the characters from God of War Ragnarok continue their stories that began in the first game.
God of War Ragnarok will once again focus on the story of Kratos and Atreus and the endgame sequel for 2018. Many of his friends and allies have already been approved for the game. In the sequel, both characters principals appear in their quest to prevent or stop Ragnarok, as well as to unravel the ongoing mystery of Atreus’ fate.
Below is a list of all God of War Ragnarok Characters Here’s a quick look at where their stories could go in the ambitious sequel we know.
God of War Ragnarok Characters

Kratos
Kratos is once again the hero of God of War Ragnarok. The Greek god of war destroyed the Greek Pantheon and eventually married Faye and gave birth to a child named Atreus.
As age and wisdom come into play after God of War, in God of War Kratos will once again join his son, Ragnarok, on a journey through the Nine Realms as he tries to guide Atreus on the right path. .
atreus
Atreus joins his father. Infused with new skills, ages, and powers, Atreus can do so much more than he could in the 2018 game.
After his Norwegian name Loki is revealed, his ancestry and fate become even clearer as the show’s Norwegian saga comes to an end.
spoil
Mimir will once again join Kratos and Atreus in spreading tales, fables, and jokes while exploring the vast expanses of the nine realms.
Possessing a fountain of knowledge and wisdom, he was originally the messenger of the gods Ases until Odin imprisoned him and was freed by Kratos.
in the angrbo
Angrboda is a brand new character in God of War Ragnarok and we don’t know much about him yet.
However, Asen is a young giant who seems to have survived the giants’ holocaust by the gods. It looks like there will be an ally to help Atreus and Kratos.
freya
Freya, the leader of the Valkyries, returns to Ragnarok. As the estranged wife of Odin, Freya will play an important role in the game after the death of her son Baldur and as other gods like Thor emerge.
He was once an ally of Kratos and Atreus, but seeks revenge and has the ability to transform into an eagle and use Seidr’s powerful magic.
Thor
Thor finally appears after being teased at the end of the 2018 game. With Mjolnir in hand, this arrogant figure will seek out Kratos and Atreus after they both kill their sons Magni and Modi.
And as sons of Odin, we have no doubt that the conflicts between Kratos and Thor will bring God’s wrath upon them in the game’s nine realms.
Truck
Tyr was a legend in the 2018 game, but was revealed to still be alive after Odin spread rumors that he was killed while imprisoning the god.
Tyr has traveled the world collecting relics and treasures from different cultures.
Sindri
Sindri is one of the dwarf siblings who are the stars of the show in God of War’s quieter moments. After forming an alliance with his brother at the end of the first game, he returns and remains a serious germ killer.
She gave birth to Mjolnir and the Leviathon Ax and no doubt has some interesting stories to tell of Thor rearing his ugly head.
stack
Sindri’s brother, Brok, is a master craftsman and, along with Sindri, is responsible for creating Mjolnir and the Leviathon Axe.
Now that the brothers have it figured out, it looks like they’ll be helping Kratos and Atreus cross the Nine Realms using the Imperial Gate.
Durlin
Durlin is another new character in God of War Ragnarok. A mysterious figure who has not yet evolved much.
But their role suggests that Kratos and Atreus will act as a knowledgeable figure who can help them better understand the gods. The animal on his shoulder is a mix of squid and octopus, a squid named Dinner.
Odin
While it’s unconfirmed that Odin will appear as Thor and Tyr are the main characters in Ragnarok, we wouldn’t be too surprised if it shakes up the storyline in the second half of the game. Since Ragnarok is the end of the Norse Saga, we find it hard to believe that he won’t appear at some point.
Odin is the ruler of Aesir and Varnir, with as many names as he has. He tries to control everything in the nine realms.
