The announcement of a new Nintendo console may be imminent

There have been rumors that Nintendo has been working on a new console for a very long time. Last June, there were guaranteed reports that a Pro Switch would be announced soon, but that didn’t happen. Instead, the Japanese company introduced an OLED model that only brought a new display and a few minor innovations, but the hardware remained the same. And now, exactly one year after the announcement of the latest addition to the Switch family, it looks like a full-fledged successor could be announced soon. But this time for real.

A few days ago, it was already reported that Nintendo plans to spend 66,514 million yen on materials in the current fiscal year, which is a really big amount. This was followed by the announcement that the company had registered the trademark “NSW”, which is used as an acronym for Nintendo Switch. But that’s not all, the biggest clue came just yesterday.

If you were to search YouTube for a trailer for the Switch OLED, you’d be in vain, at least in terms of the official source. Nintendo closed access to the video yesterday. You ask why do this? It’s pretty simple, he doesn’t want to “confuse” customers with old products and will focus his marketing on the new one. This is a practice that other companies use as well, and it was Nintendo who used it last year when they announced the OLED model when they also set up a Switch Lite trailer as a private video.

On the other hand, there is another possible explanation: Nintendo only had the rights to the trailer music for one year, so they had to remove the video now.
