If you have an inclination and desire to return to the cyberpunk city nightlife, but don’t quite want to play Cyberpunk 2077, then this year Netflix may have the solution for you in the form of an anime series. Cyberpunk: Edge Runners.
Directed by Hiroyuki Imaishi (Kill la Kill), it follows the adventures of a street kid named TK who joins the titular mercenaries, which puts him in a variety of situations. It is also interesting that the music for the project is written by Akira Jamaoka, the creator of the soundtracks for the Silent Hill games.
The premiere is scheduled for this septemberso the wait will no longer be long, but now it can be shortened after watching the opening credits (in preview)which were released as part of the Anime Expo 2022 event in Los Angeles, offering musical plot in the form of the song “This Fire” by Franz Ferdinand.
