Cuphead player speed up the game by climbing the mountain at the same time

Cuphead’s speedruns are extremely difficult. The platform game is complicated, the bosses are merciless, and the chances of dying and wasting precious seconds are very high. And you know what else is very high? The mountains. So how about combining the metaphorical coolness of a Cuphead speedrun with the literal coolness of a real mountain?

Well, that’s exactly what EazySpeezy, the YouTuber who regularly features Cuphead, Sonic, and Lego Star Wars, decided to create a kind of performance that mirrors the mental and emotional challenge of Cuphead’s speed versus the physical challenge of climbing a mountain. . .

EazySpeezy uses duct tape to attach a laptop to one of his teammates’ backpacks, then walks behind him, speeding Cuphead up. To avoid tripping or, you know, fall from the mountain – Brother Easy, who accompanies them on the way, announces directions and obstacles on the way forward. This allows Eazy to keep his eyes on the game and climb the mountain as well.

The mountain in question is Mount Mansfield, the highest in the state of Vermont, at 4,400 feet; the peak is about 2790 feet from the starting point of EazySpeezy. Some sections involve scrambling over rocks or scrambling up slopes, but Eazy simply pauses the game and then resumes when the ground is flat again. When Easy reaches the top of the mountain, they are ready to face the rumors of Honeybottoms.

However, Dr. Kahl’s robot is more of a challenge, as EazySpeezy tries to fight him during the descent, when it’s much more difficult to get a foothold and keep your balance, especially when you’re in the middle of the high speed of Cuphead. . go through a laptop. the air duct is currently attached to your friend’s back.

The entire run takes about eight hours, and Easy must beat the weather devil as soon as they get back to their hotel room (but before they shower after the mountains). With most Cuphead times clocking in at around 28 minutes, this race won’t be taking the top spot on the leaderboards any time soon. But if anyone else wants to try out Cuphead’s speedrun by climbing the mountain, eight hours seems like a pretty impressive amount of time.
