A Deus Ex writer may be working on a new Mass Effect. She joined the BioWare studio. Mary DeMarlwho was responsible for the plot and script of the latest games. god outincluding Mankind Divided, Human Revolution and the mobile spin-offs Deus Ex: Go and Deus Ex: The Fall.
More recently, DeMarle has been behind the story and supervising the action-adventure writing team. Guardians of the Marvel Galaxy, which won The Game Awards 2021 for Best Story. She has worked at Eidos Montreal for over 10 years.
DeMarle did not say which project she would be working on at BioWare. It is officially known that this studio under Electronic Arts is preparing Dreadwall of the Dragon Age as well as new mass effect. Since Dragon Age is still in development, it’s safe to assume that DeMarl will help with the sci-fi adventure.
In an interview with GamesIndustry last summer, Mary DeMarle made it clear that understanding the game is important because the story often follows the gameplay. When the writer understands the game and what feeling he is trying to create in the players, then the story can improve or advance gameplay.
