Rhythm roguelite Crypt of the Necrodancer was released in 2015 and was a great success. Gradually, new content was added to it, and after 3 years, the developers from Brace Yourself Games released the title Cadence from Hyrule, the Necrodancer and The Legend of Zelda crossover. However, over time, the studio began to focus on other games, such as the tactical Phantom Brigade or the building strategy Industries of Titan. It seemed that Neocrodancer was a thing of the past, but, in the end, it was not.

The developers have taken to Twitter again with great news: Crypt of the Necrodancer is getting a new update to version 3.0 after over 5 years. It does bring a lot of news, which you can read in detail here. In any case, the main ones are reduced load times, the ability to save the game when you exit the game, No Beat Mode, an improved level editor, better gamepad controls, and Steam Deck support.

However, that’s not all. The studio is teasing that this is just a hint at something more to come. Will it be a full-fledged sequel? We will have to be surprised. But until then, players can enjoy the upgraded Necrodancer.
