Red Dead Redemption 2 mod could be closer to an update

Red Dead Redemption 2 updates have been a long time coming; we’re starting to think there will never be another update. So be thankful for this new mod that transforms the single player mode of RDR 2 by completely rewriting the way bailiffs, bailiffs and bounty hunters react to you and chase you.

Called simply The Law, SerjRozov’s mod revisits how the various peacekeepers in Red Dead Redemption 2 react to your crimes, whether it’s in the desert, in the city, or if you kill someone or beat them up.

If you commit a crime on the plain, it always feels a bit unusual and unfair how quickly the police show up and attack you. However, SerjRozov managed to change all that by using Red Dead Redemption 2 map coordinates to adjust the speed (and number) of police spawns based on how far away from the city they are. He shoots someone right next to Strawberry Shortcake and he’ll be there in seconds. But head straight to the center of Hannover and if there are no witnesses, petty crimes won’t attract much attention; even the most heinous acts, you will have much more time to hide from a gang of criminals. the cops materialize immediately.

As for the cities, if you mess up the base game, the bounty hunters and bailiffs will just teleport en masse in and out of the prison. The mod completely changes that: they now come on chariots and horses, arriving as reinforcements, and not just bandit monsters.

Also, if someone annoys you or wants to start a fight and you hit them first, you will no longer be chased by the police, as they will consider it self-defense. You can also practice with weapons in the wild as much as you like, unless you’re on private property. Last but not least, benevolent bystanders are less likely to witness or report your crimes if they occur at night. Little details like this are exactly what we love to see in mods because they add a whole new dimension to the way you play. A guy who insults you during lunch in the Valentine’s Room? Wait until night and you can hide it without witnesses.

Law is now available for free and works well with another recent RDR 2 mod that transforms the game’s impact and body physics to more closely resemble Grand Theft Auto IV.
