Square Enix has announced that the first add-on for RPG Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, Trials of the Dragon King, will be released in July. The new trailer features action where you take on the Warrior of Light from Final Fantasy 1 and Bahamut, the titular Dragon King from the fantasy game.
The trailer picks up where the main game left off, so spoiler alert for those of you who haven’t finished it yet: the warriors of light from the first Final Fantasy enter the room where Jack Garland waits, in full armor. them on the throne. “You will die here,” he proclaims, “and I will live forever.”
We then see Bahamut as Jack and his friends take on the Dragon King. “Remember our deal,” Jack says before showing us some quick cuts showing a fight with a giant dragon. Bahamut features smashing attacks and powerful ground slams that promise to be an eye-catching battle for fans of the series.
Fans are also looking forward to meeting Jack as the warrior of light from the first game, who wears the same long-horned blue suit from Dissidia Final Fantasy. He wields his signature sword and shield and unleashes various ranged magical attacks in addition to his melee repertoire.

Stranger of Paradise: Trials of the Dragon King launches on July 20, and this first DLC for Final Fantasy Origin is also included in the adventure game’s season pass.
If you’re looking to improve the underwhelming performance of the PC port of Stranger of Paradise, there’s a mod you might want, though it also shaves all the characters’ heads. Stranger of Paradise may have its issues, but it ludicrously relies on its over-the-top tone and spreads loot like candy in a way you almost have to see for yourself.
