Final Fantasy 7 Crisis Core Runion pre-orders are available now – but as far as we know it’s only available to pre-order from two UK retailers: Amazon UK and Base.com. This will no doubt be exciting news for any UK Final Fantasy fans who want to make sure they get this remaster on day one.
It’s almost surreal to be able to say it Final Fantasy 7 Crisis Core Reunion pre-orders It’s increased because just a few weeks ago the idea of a Crisis Core reprint or remake seemed pretty far-fetched. Indeed, the Genesis character was modeled after famous Japanese musician Gackt, creating licensing issues that made the game difficult to revisit. It’s also a PSP game with significantly outdated hardware in 2022.
For those who don’t know, Crisis Core is a prequel to Final Fantasy VII. Whether you’ve played Final Fantasy VII (or Final Fantasy VII: Remake) or not, this is a classic game that you can enjoy as a starting point in the Final Fantasy VII story or as a prequel as intended.
Originally released for the PSP, Square is committed to bringing improvements to the Final Fantasy Crisis Core Remaster, including upgrading all characters with new HD model replacements. We haven’t seen the full extent of the improvements yet, but the trailer was certainly impressive and tied into Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.

Final Fantasy 7 Crisis Core is coming to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch† You can now pre-order the game on each of these platforms through Base.com in the UK and Amazon in the US.
Base.com lists the release date for this game as December 31, 2022, but that’s likely a placeholder since the game is set to an unspecified “this winter”.

At this point, no special edition of the game has been announced, and indeed Square Enix may not release one. However, we think there’s a good chance there will be one someday, and we’ll update this page as soon as we learn anything.
