Developers from 343 industries announced that they are beta testing the co-op mode in the campaign Halo Infinite will start July 11 and will last ten days. It will be available to game owners and Game Pass subscribers. But in order to be able to participate, you must enroll in the program Xbox Insider Program. You must do it on PC until July 5There is no time limit on consoles.
At the same time, the so-called Mission Replay will be added to the game, with the help of which players will be able to return to missions that have already been completed.
The beta version will be completely separate from the current form of the game. You will not be able to load your own save or transfer progress from testing to your campaign. But the entire campaign will be available for four players.
In an interview posted on the developer site, world designer John Mulkey describes how co-op works: “All progress, whether it’s single player or co-op, will be saved. Gone are the days when you played someone else’s game and didn’t get any progress. (…) [Systém kooperace] internally we call No Spartan left behind. When players join a team, the game collects the status of all missions and creates a world where missions completed by all team members are marked as completed, and missions not completed by all team members are marked as incomplete.
It’s also worth noting that due to the nature of the cooperation described above, all players take on the role of Master Chief.
A full-fledged co-op should appear later this year. We would also like to see the highly anticipated Forge Mode map editor this year. However, we do not yet know the exact dates for the content to arrive.
