Everyone loves Diablo 2’s Horadric Cube, the sinister transmog box from the classic RPG. Patch 2.4.3 for Diablo 2 Resurrected makes the Horadric Cube easier to use for players and Deckard Cain himself, and adds some nice quality of life updates to the matchmaking menu.
If you’re playing Diablo 2: Resurrected with mouse and keyboard, the new update adds the ability to bind a hotkey that opens your Horadric Cube (assuming you have it in your inventory). For players using the new gamepad control scheme, Blizzard has added a new controller ability called Cube Loot, which allows you to pick up an item and drop it directly into your Horadric Cube.
This patch also fixes an issue that prevented Deckard Cain from identifying items stored in the Horadric Cube: the Elder can now see inside correctly.
The latest patch also fixes some issues with the Barbarian Whirlwind ability and generally makes it faster and easier to use. You can now initiate a new whirlwind, leap, or jump attack immediately after the whirlwind ends, and the whirlwind’s speed will now include any increased attack speed bonuses you get from your team.
Blizzard says the upshot of all this is that whirlwind attacks will still be as fast as before, but slower weapons should be noticeably faster with this update.
Multiplayer lobbies on PC now also have new features: a new connection quality tooltip appears when hovering over listed games, and you can search for available games by keyword or game name to filter the results.
The full patch notes can be found on the official Blizzard site. From June 30 to July 4, Diablo 2: Resurrected is hosting a special Magical Discovery Weekend, where you’ll have a 50% increased chance of finding Magical, Rare, Fixed, and Unique loot during your adventures.
