Nvidia RTX 4090 Ti renders have surfaced online, and the green team’s next best graphics card may have a very fragile cooler. The images show the GPU from the side, including its shroud and edge connector, and we think the clicking of its cooler will alert Metal Gear Solid guards.
Shared by YouTuber Moore’s Law is dead. Nvidia RTX 4090 The Ti design in question is based on the Founders Edition engineering sample. Aesthetically, the next-gen GPU is similar to the RTX 3090, but it has a much thicker cooler that can take up 3.25 slots in your gaming PC.
MLID notes that while the RTX 3090 takes up three slots, its cooler actually only takes up 2.75. So while the current-gen mount will probably take up the same space as the RTX 4090 Ti, the rest of the card is set to take up more space in your case.
This is not the first sign that the RTX 4090 will have simulated thickness, as leaked images discovered by Wccftech showed a massive heatsink and backplate. However, MLID warns that this may just be a technical sample of a quick cooling solution and not something that will be included in the final release.
The RTX 4090 is designed to deliver even more performance than previously thought, so its big brother will probably need all the cooling it can get. Rumors indicate that the RTX 4090 Ti has a TDP of 900W, so it remains to be seen if this powerful solution is enough.
