The popular Fortnite player and streamer has announced that he will be leaving the popular Epic Battle Royale game and switching to an entirely different multiplayer game, Riot’s Valorant.

18-year-old streamer and professional gamer Benjyfishy, aka Benjy Fish (yes, that’s his real name), has announced that he will end competitive Fortnite and focus on the FPS game Valorant with the support of his team at NRG. Fish has played Fortnite his entire professional life and was one of the best players in the Fortnite World Cup.

So why change? Fish admits that she “fell in love with Fortnite” around Chapter 3 Season 2 and says that “it just seems useless to do something I don’t like.” He adds that he is “incredibly grateful” for the years he spent playing Fortnite. “I don’t think he would trade those years for anything.”

As for why he chose Valorant, the streamer says that “it really is the most fun game I’ve played” since the Fortnite World Cup. While you may stream Fortnite in the future, it will be moving to Valorant fully competitively. However, he will remain with NRG.

Fish goes on to thank many people, including his mother. “Without her, I would never have been able to embark on this path, because it allowed me to realize my dream, for which I am always grateful”

It’s definitely a good time to get to know Valorant because Episode 5 and the new Pearl map are on the way.
