Morgan Brown from Microsoft presented some interesting new features that will enrich the service. Xbox Cloud Gamingwhich is part of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription.
Currently, all Xbox Game Pass games can be played using an Xbox controller on PC. In the cloud, some games support touch controls on smartphones and tablets. In the near future it should be on computers via the cloud keyboard and mouse are also supported.
“Xbox has supported keyboard and mouse for several years now, and we’re working on adding them to streaming for PC users.” explained Morgan Brown of Microsoft in a developer presentation. “But you can start adding it to your games right now” he added that owners of Xbox consoles with a keyboard and mouse will now appreciate it.
In addition to keyboard and mouse support, Microsoft talked about this feature Direct gripto reduce latency. However, the new technology has its limitations, supports a maximum resolution of 1440p, does not allow dynamic resolution and HDR. The first limitation is currently irrelevant as Xbox Cloud Gaming supports a maximum resolution of 720p on mobile and 1080p on desktop and through the browser.
