No Man’s Sky in October on Switch and physically on PS5

Nobody’s sky for Nintendo Switch will be released no earlier than October 7 this year. The space adventure will be available digitally through Nintendo eShop and physically at retail stores. It will be available on the same day physical version for PlayStation 5.

Switch players can look forward to all 20 expansions that have expanded No Man’s Sky over the past 6 years. They can also look forward to future updates and further expansions of the game. This also applies to the PS5 version, which will be remastered. This version has been available digitally for some time.

But here’s a bunch. The Switch version will only support single player.. The question is whether multiplayer will make it to the Switch version later.

“No Man’s Sky looks completely natural on this small portable device, and at the same time it is completely implausible,” said Sean Murray of Hello Games about the Switch version.

“For our small team, it was a real blow to black. No Man’s Sky is built on procedural generation, which means that the console generates everything you see. This makes porting our game to something like the Switch much more difficult, but I don’t think this team ever looks happier than when they’re trying to do near-impossible things.”
