When will Zen 4 and RDNA 3 be released?

The current generation of processors and graphics cards is coming to an end, so it’s no surprise that there are a lot of rumors on the Internet about the next one. Last time we wrote about AMD’s new roadmap, which is one of the few official details we have. But thanks to various insiders, we have quite a few unofficial ones.

The new news about RDNA 3 cards was made by the well-known leaker Greymon55, who, as always, was very brief. The new generation of graphic artists should come out at the end of October, at the latest in mid-November of this year.

As for the processors, here we got the exact date somewhat unexpectedly. This was taken care of by the Chinese society conference, where one of the slides showed the message that Zen 4 will be released on September 15, Videocardz magazine reported. This is in line with what Greymon55 recently said, according to which new processors appear before video cards.

In addition, he has now added a list of models that will be released first. In particular, these should be Ryzen 7950X, 7900X, 7800X and 7600X. This will be the same lineup as two years ago when Zen 3 was released.

AMD is also reportedly planning Zen 4 products that are compatible with DDR4 RAM, but Graymon adds that it’s not clear if they will eventually hit the market.

AMD is reportedly preparing hardware for Steam Deck 2.

Valve’s portable steam deck has become very popular and is a great option for PC gamers to play on the go. The device is relatively powerful for its size, but technology is constantly evolving and, for example, rival company AyaNeo releases new products almost every few months. It doesn’t look like Valve is following the same path yet, but it looks like a new version of Steam Deck is already in the pipeline.

YouTube channel Moore’s Law is Dead came with information. He claims that AMD is working on a new APU, part of the CPU with 4 cores and 8 threads will be built on the Zen 4 architecture, and the graphics chip with 8 compute units will be based on RDNA 3. Although the code name is not yet known, unofficially the chip is called “Little Phoenix” , because it should be a smaller version of the Phoenix Point (Ryzen 7000) APU.

However, it doesn’t look like a new Steam deck will be announced in the coming months. After all, the original version is still a relatively new product that is definitely not available.
