Finding unique and interesting games in 2022 is no easy task, but Die By The Blade brings unique ideas to the genre, with hit combos capable of one-hit kills.
Shown off at the Future Games Show during Summer Game Fest, Die By The Blade features a fairly unique combat system where normal hits deal damage by default, reducing your opponent’s health. However, a successful combo will kill your opponent in one move and has the potential to end a match before it even begins, if you’re skilled enough. However, you have the ability to dodge and block these powerful attacks, so you’re not just a sitting duck.
The new trailer showcases some of the combos and hacks you can perform when the game releases on all PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One and PC later this year.
We worked one-on-one with the game at WASD in April, and really enjoyed the combat, which once you get used to it feels fluid and brutal. You can check out the gameplay below:
