The Xbox and Bethesda demo brought a first look at Starfield gameplay, but also confirmed a surprising but long-awaited feature, Starfield Photo Mode, which allows you to capture beautiful images of distant galaxies in the highly anticipated space game.

However, you may have overlooked another long-awaited Starfield feature: the built-in photo mode has been confirmed. Previous Bethesda RPGs lacked this useful and much-requested screenshot feature, and Fallout 4 only got photo mode thanks to modders. However, a close look at the scan of Starfield’s early game clearly shows a button labeled “photo mode”, so a useful feature will be available from day one.

A new release date was not announced during the Starfield show, but it will be available on Game Pass in early 2023.
