Five things to change in CS:GO: Battle Royale Mode

called “Dangerous zone“, itinerary battle royale arrival Counter Strike: Global OffensiveCS: GO) in 2018 and it was much discussed back then. first decision valve strike, especially for the success of the modality that year. Nevertheless to apply path and continuity given in, left a lot to be desired† However, here in this text I will discuss some of the changes I would like to see in DZ.

lack of item

One of the biggest issues I see in Danger Zone is the rarity of items on the map. I don’t expect the game to give us the best gear for the road, especially since looting is part of the dynamic. But going through different areas and often finding knives, pistols, shotguns, or if you’re lucky, submachine guns is pretty frustrating.

The biggest blessing of a battle royale game and CS:GO is crossfire. After all, they are playing games. To make this more enjoyable, it is very important to have good weapons. Like I said, I don’t think you need AK, M4A1, and AWP every turn, but it shouldn’t be nearly impossible to have or get them in the final moments of the match.

Looking at the genre’s greatest hits like PUBG and Call of Duty Warzone, we can’t find the best weapons possible anywhere, but it’s also far from an extremely difficult mission or one that’s only possible in the latest game moments.

Spending most of the game with a 30-round Glock is boring and it would be a good step to bring more fun to the game.

Larger suits and cards

I am convinced that the greatest beauty of online games is to play with friends. The more, the better. This is why I find it problematic that CS:GO’s Battle Royale mode focuses more on solo and duo play. A team of at least four people would be much more interesting and fun.

It also involves increasing the size of the maps. Those in Danger Zone mode tend to be small, especially compared to others of their kind. Obviously they were designed for games with fewer people, and therefore deploying a team would require larger maps.

With a bigger map, more friends and more trades, the fun will definitely increase at the same rate.

Valve/Clearance

everything is so raw

Using the theme of the cards, let’s get into the theme that they all seem very raw and extremely general. The impression is that we are playing in BETA or that an avid fan is made to have fun without buying anything. Places on one map are very similar to each other, views are usually very bad, houses don’t have doors anyway… It’s very boring and unusual.

If the decision to launch the Battle Royale mode in CS:GO was correct, it should have been much bolder. I must admit that I am extremely optimistic and even naive. I had deceptively high expectations, expecting the mod to directly compete with others just like COD, which is completely different gameplay and also a very well executed battle royale. But I was wrong… The danger zone became “one more” with the right arm, Corrida Armada and others.

I truly believe that better, unique, and catchy storylines grab attention and bring more immersion. You can think differently and that’s fine. But let’s face it, enthusiasm and creativity are at a minimum… And there, both were missing.

Valve/Clearance

different mechanics

Another conspicuous drawback of CS:GO battle royale game is the lack of fun mechanics that stand out and really make a difference in the game. There are a few like tablets, hostage rescue, deployment of C4, etc. But the truth is, everything but the tablet itself is completely disposable and boring.

I know CS:GO is notorious for its conservatism in the game, and many players have a complete aversion, even phobia, for things very different from the usual. A bit of a daredevil does not require anything more, however, especially in a new mode rather than the classic 5v5.

It lacks various challenges, new ways to play, the inclusion of objectives… Maybe that wouldn’t change with the presence of vehicles, or maybe the presence of characters with certain functions that don’t have to be s escape from the game as often. refuel more, have even more room for grenades, doctor… Mechanical supplements that cleverly combine pleasure and team play.

Danger Zone presents the most important of CS:GO with a near perfect gameplay. Having a few differences in the mode would be quite a card to fully engage in the competition.

Valve/Clearance

abandoned to their fate

Finally, I think the most important thing here is to talk about how the mod is left to its own devices – just like most things about the game I must say.

Incredible: Danger Zone will be four years old in 2022!

And what has changed from here to there, except nothing? What were the big updates, new goals, and big news that resonated with regular players and even made players replay or try out the mode for the first time?

I say this is the most important part because if the mod is left and no one thinks to do anything about it, none of what we mentioned above and any other improvements not mentioned here will happen Actually. Not to mention the number of events, partnerships and updates that constantly appear in neighboring Battle Royale games.

It’s sad to see projects with so much potential being abandoned, but it’s the truth… At the same time, I’m fully aware of how Valve works and the community is barely listening, but it doesn’t hurt to carry on . looking for the best in something we love.

And if Valve is that hard to deal with Danger Zone, then open the doors to the community. We have great plans on workshop maps ranging from completely different game modes to extremely well designed and detailed scenarios. I’m sure the community can work wonders in Battle Royale too.
