In mid-May, we wrote about the AYANEO 2 handheld from the Chinese company AYANEO. Theoretically, it could compete with Steam Deck, as it offers better graphics and a decent processor with a maximum clock speed of 4.7 GHz. However, the company did not stop at this small console and now it is different – it is called ayaneo 2 geek.

At first glance, they may look very similar, but the AYANEO 2 Geek console is aimed at less demanding players, so it is assembled from slightly worse, but more affordable components. Wi-Fi 6 technology will be supported and you should be able to play games on the 512GB/1TB internal memory.. Such a capacity may seem too big, but, for example, the AYANEO Air 2 pocket drive offers up to 2 TB.

The handheld will be sold in two price options, the cheaper one ($699 in terms of CZK 16,000) will have an AMD Ryzen 5 6600U processor. The second version, which will be available for $799 (equivalent to CZK 18,350), will feature an AMD Ryzen 7 6800U processor. As you can see, you pay more for both parts than for a medium memory Steam Deck model ($529, over CZK 12,000).

Windows 11 or Linux based AYANEO OS will probably run smoothly and thank you 16 GB RAM. It is used to connect peripheral devices such as headphones, mice or keyboards. three USB-C ports. The console will also feature a fingerprint scanner, likely for security reasons.

The AYANEO Geek 2 console will go on sale this November and is already available for pre-order in China. The company will reportedly announce pre-order options for players and enthusiasts outside of China next week.
