“Introducing a broken, incomplete and imperfect alpha version of The Last Starship. Choose a ship hull, equip it with engines, life support systems, sensors and railguns, and set off on a galactic adventure.”

This has already been reported in a press release. You start with an empty starship hull. You have to equip it with everything you need and go to the galaxy, where you will test your concept in a series of procedurally generated missions. It can be a large-scale mining operation on asteroids, rescuing civilians from a vehicle with a critical engine failure, or you can raise an army and fight the pirates that have flooded the galaxy.

The game is currently available in closed testing on Steam.

We add that Paradox Interactive bought Prison Architect from Introversion in 2019, since then the authors have not worked on any DLC. Instead, they tried for several years to create something related to the universe. Gradually they showed off various prototypes, but none of them caught on, most of the prototypes were sold and the money went to charity.
