Witchfire will first be released as part of a pre-release approach and is currently targeting Q4 of this year.. Unfortunately, in the case of the release date, the creators did not share more, they even stated that they were ready to skip this period if they were not completely satisfied with what the players would receive. However, this may be bad news for those who Pre-access will only be available through the Epic Games Store.. We don’t know anything about console versions yet, although Witchfire intends to look at other platforms later. the possibility of a later release on Steam is naturally largely unknown. Perhaps the plan for a multi-platform release extends to Steam, but this is not certain yet.
Epic exclusivity is no longer as intense and thorny as it was in the past, but Witchfire proves once again that this trend just won’t go away. However, the news from The Astronauts is powered by Unreal Engine and the studio has no secret relationship with Epic, so one would expect the Epic Games Launcher to be chosen as the default platform.
