The punchy music, vibrant colors, and colorful city of Night City were some of the best things Cyberpunk: 2077 brought a year and a half ago. This is not about DLC, but about the anime series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, which will be released on Netflix.
This streaming platform has released a teaser that gives us at least a glimpse of what the ten-part series will look like. Music, colors and the city at night are back.
The teaser revolves around a street boy named TK, the so-called street guy who, in the game itself, was one of the story backgrounds we chose when creating the character. Since TK no longer knows what to do, he decides to become a mercenary who will do any job for money. Like V in Cyberpunk: 2077.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, an original 10-episode anime series from CD PROJEKT RED and Studio Trigger, will release on Netflix in September 2022. Tell your Chooms!

Apart from Netflix, the series is also behind CD Projekt Red, the studio that created the video game itself. As well as the Japanese studio Trigger, which is signed under the anime Kill la Kill or Promare.
The series is directed by Hirojuki Imaishi (Kill la Kill or Promare again). “I’ve always loved the cyberpunk genre, but it’s always been difficult for me to create something original in it,” Imaishi said during the series’ 2020 announcement.. “That’s why I’m excited to be working with CD Projekt Red on this project. It won’t be easy to please both game and anime fans, but I love a challenge.”
It is also worth mentioning the name of the composer who will follow the great music of the original performance. This is Akira Jamaoka, a Japanese composer signed to the Silent Hill series.
