Many veterans left Blizzard, where they worked on brands Star Craft as well as military craftbecause the company wasn’t interested in real-time strategy. So they founded Frost Giant Studios and prepares RTS dreams. This title is presented today Storm Gatewhich the combines elements of futuristic science fiction and fantasy.

Stormgate is built on Unreal Engine 5 as well as will be free. The creators will bring a full story campaign, ranked matches one on one, team matches three on three with unique victory conditions, tools for spectators and an editor to create your own missions and mini-games. For example, you can paint the landscape, create scenarios, edit objects, and publish custom maps to the entire community.

Target create a friendlier RTS. The story revolves around a post-apocalyptic Earth hundreds of years in the future following a disastrous war caused by the Infernals. An alien race that appears to be demonic emerged from the dormant Storm Gate during intense solar storms. The human race fought back, but the conflict destroyed the world.

“Fully playable demonic infernals are back to pull the trigger, and the defenders of Earth must muster up the courage to climb their 20-meter moss and save the world. It’s up to you to pick a side, collect raw materials, build a base, and command powerful armies that decide the outcome.” adds a press release.

More factions are promised (not just two) and be sure to no pay-to-win, no NFT and no loot! I wonder how the creators will make money? They want to sell cosmetics.

If you’re interested in Stormgate, you can sign up for the beta test. This will happen sometime in 2023 on PC.
