It looks like developer Playground Games has teamed up with one of our favorite toy brands once again to bring us the Forza Horizon 5 Hot Wheels add-on, at least according to the latest leak. This will be the first expansion for the top racing game and the second time the two companies have teamed up for a gravity-defying collaboration.
The Forza Horizon 5 expansion first appeared online as a half-banner on Steam, showcasing the iconic windy tracks we’ve come to expect from Hot Wheels. He is still alive at the time of this writing, but vario64 finger swipe immortalized on screenshot in case it is removed.
Currently, details are a bit scant on the ground. It will presumably debut at Summer Game Fest starting June 9, but we’re not sure of the release date yet. We do know the price though, as it will be half of the Forza Horizon 5 expansion pack at $34.99 / £26.99. You can also get the DLC as part of the Forza Horizon 5 Premium add-on pack on Steam for $47.66 / £37.59, along with the VIP Pass, Welcome Pack, Car Pass, and Expansion Pack.
Based on the image, the expansion will likely follow in the footsteps of the fan-favorite Forza Horizon 3 Hot Wheels DLC, which you can see in action below. Just trade the sandy backdrop of South Australia for the sunny countryside of Mexico.
Stay tuned during the Summer Game Fest. We bet on June 12 when the Microsoft and Bethesda demo begins. In the meantime, check out the best flyer because you’ll want to prepare for this fun ride.
