For the first time in Epic Battle Royale history, an official Fortnite first-person mode appears to be in the works. That’s according to popular tipster HypeX, who suggests that Fortnite’s first-person camera option is “still in early development” but appears to be in the works.
Although there have been issues in Fortnite multiplayer before, allowing players to explore the island using a first-person camera (this option is supposed to be available), the only officially implemented option to turn Fortnite into an FPS game points with the MK assault rifle. Seven.
Regardless, that gun was stolen this season, but maybe that doesn’t matter anymore. hypex suggests that Fortnite will have a first-person camera option at some point. According to his latest tweet (below), this season, Epic “started working on some things related to the first-person camera mode.” Unfortunately, there’s not much to see at the moment, as it appears to be in a very early stage of development.
The first-person camera could be just for a specific event, or an option that users can choose in Fortnite’s Creative mode; there are already several Call of Duty inspired maps that can use it. Alternatively, it could be a full camera option that players can switch between, similar to Star Wars Battlefront II. Whatever Epic decides to do seems a long way off, but when it does, it will be welcomed.

With this update, Epic started working on some things related to the first-person camera mode, but there is no more information about it at this time, as it seems that it is still in the early stages of development. It will work VERY well for zero build modes 👀 pic.twitter.com/PIRRmdLyp0

Speaking of Star Wars, the final season has just begun and the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 Battle Pass is heavily reliant on Lucasfilm this time around, featuring Darth Vader and Indiana Jones.
