A talented craftsman has created a tiny Lego OLED monitor that resembles minifigures capable of playing text-based adventure games. Inspired by the CG-style corner block from the toymaker’s iconic space set, the DIY piece features a stylish OLED screen with scrolling animation that brings the block to life.

To replicate the space-themed look of the original piece, the screen uses a similar 3D-printed transparent corner through which its ridiculously small panel shines. Once you place it on another brick, the retro screen comes to life and won’t look out of place in Ridley Scott’s Alien.
It’s worth noting that while the homemade Lego brick looks like an old-fashioned gaming monitor, the lines of text on your screen are literally white lines. So while we’d love to play Rogue (the original Roguelike game) on a screen smaller than our eyes, for now you’ll need to use a full-size gaming PC to explore the past.
If you’re familiar with Lego bricks, you’ll know that there are many wedges that look like real screens. A follow-up tweetBrown says they’ll be working with a small set of plastic screens, and the creator has already applied the same treatment to the “radar” part.

Again, this little computer screen doesn’t display actual text, but it will help us create a mini retro gaming platform for Lego Batman. This project also testifies to the possibilities of OLED technology, especially when it comes to integrating it into a small space.
