Kojima’s next project will be the horror film Overdose.

We recently wrote that actor Norman Reedus has apparently shown a sequel to Death Stranding in which he plays the protagonist, courier Sam Bridges. So far, there has been no official announcement, and instead, more unconfirmed information has appeared, which, however, comes from trusted insider Tom Henderson.

In an article for Try Hard Guides, he said that Kojima Productions is currently working on a game called Overdose. Henderson claims to have seen footage straight from the game showing the main character looking like Mama from Death Stranding and wearing a blue dress. However, this should not be Death Stranding 2, the character was simply played by the same actress – Margaret Qualley.

They say that in the video this character walks through the dark corridors with a flashlight in his hand. Everything is seen from a 3rd person perspective, but the game is reportedly supposed to offer a 1st person mode as well. There was supposed to be some sort of jump scare at the end of the demo, and a “GAMEOVER” screen appeared, followed by the words “Hideo Kojima’s Game… OVERDOSAGE”.

In the past, Kojima and his team have been speculated to be working on an Xbox game that would use the cloud in some way. Is it a title? Very soon we will be able to find out whether the announcement at the Summer Game Fest or the Xbox presentation is definitely in the game.
