Finally, something happened that many fans of motorsport have been waiting for. The developers at Frontier Developments, who you may know as the creators of Planet Coaster or Planet Zoo, released a new F1 Manager 2022 demo on Tuesday that includes new gameplay footage and a release date.
The game is aimed at PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, we already know that. But what about the date? If anything, the studio has been a bit vague about the actual release date for all of them. August 30 this year. Players who pre-ordered the game but received it pre-access 5 days earlythat is 25-th of August.
As for the trailer itself, it showed something far more sophisticated than we might have expected. We can also watch the races from the point of view of our team driver and it’s like F1 from Codemasters. The developers have taken great care of the modeling of individual cars, drivers and tracks. There will even be radios with classic commands like “Box, box” or “Copy”. And yes, Formula 1 drivers say.
