After a series of fixes since the release of Battlefield 2042, Update 1.0 will be released tomorrow, June 7, to prepare multiplayer for the start of Season 1. This somewhat confusing update resets the version number to 1.0. 0, also fixes a number of remaining bugs and brings welcome quality of life improvements to the troublesome FPS.
EA/DICE says that players should find animations and movement in general to be smoother thanks to “multiple improvements to soldier gameplay.” The hit registration issues that plagued Battlefield 2042 have also been addressed through weapon netcode improvements and some balance changes, including increased bullet speed for sniper rifles and sniper rifles, light machine guns, and accuracy. upgraded for shotguns.
According to DICE, the patch also adds several new ways to earn XP in matches. You will now receive experience bonuses for destroying an enemy who recently wounded or killed a member of your squad, as well as for destroying a vehicle damaged by your teammate and destroying the crew.
In Conquest, you’ll now find more vehicles that can be used to navigate the maps, and Sundance’s wingsuit changes should make navigation easier, albeit with the tradeoff of reducing overall flight time.
Season 1 and the Battle Pass for Battlefield 2042 will be officially revealed on June 7 via a live stream that you can watch here:
Full patch notes are available on the official site. The next update is expected to be released in early July, according to EA/DICE.
